But yes. Noir feels pretty comfortable with Gin overall. He's been around for a while, is clearly experienced and is also probably one of the members of the team that he considers most 'stable'. (As stable as Cardinal can be, really.) The excessive drinking iiiis a problem, but honestly Noir is more concerned about his liver than the reasons why. Drinking a lot is kind of an understandable reaction to Life In Deco-land. The only thing mental health-wise that does worry him is that sooometimes he gets the inkling that Gin is not as Okay with Cardinal policy as the rest of the team was...but then Cardinal had turnover and that policy is probably getting revisited as a result. He might end up asking him about it when the time seems right.

(And also Gin needs a girlfriend and/or boyfriend. That would probably improve his mood, yes???)

Regardless, Noir trusts Gin and would take into account his strategies and ideas in games due to him being the most experienced member on the team as well. Your opinions matter, especially since you can probably back them up!

SO FAR THEY'RE PRETTY GOOD. There's more interest than he was expecting already! He did expect that the sudden influx of amnesiac singers would encourage some usage of the music school, but the list already has interest from people from several teams (Peridot, Citrine, Iolite, Jasper, Emerald, Tiger's Eye and Kunzite all had interested parties LOOK AT THAT TEAM DIVERSITY) and there's also at least two Personae who are intrigued! THAT SEEMS LIKE A PRETTY GOOD SIGN! (And would make getting necessary quests even easier!)

He's just...really happy that this is a thing he can make happen. Music is important to him, though the Score and his world's religion did give his enjoyment a sort of negative feeling. However, this way he can encourage people to sing their own songs and basically show why music can be a wonderful thing and not restrict your free will. '^'

There's also just the joy of SHARING WHAT HE LOVES and also having people interested in sharing it as well and it's just WONDERFUL ALL AROUND.

Hm... not so much just now. He'd be really happy to help out as a pianist during other people's lessons though. The skill is Nightmare! ...Which only Tear uses onscreen but a) it's the fonic hymn she starts with, b) there's a sidequest where she learns another fonic hymn through Van's notes (so he was clearly studying them), c) Van is literally the only person alive who could have taught it to her if she didn't find some way to understand the verse on her own and d) ...I thought Nightmare would be fun to have.

REGARDLESS, Nightmare is an attack that in cutscenes puts enemies to sleep and in battle lowers their defense (presumably by making them sleepy). Selenia just needs to sing the first verse and put some power behind it to make a target fall asleep. Due to the power cap he can only put one target to sleep at a time, but anyone who hears him sing will probably feel a biiiiit sleepy depending on their will stats. (IE. people can play with it how they want.)

SELENIA FEELS SO MUCH BETTER ABOUT APPLE. After their like, 350~400 comment thread where they just plowed through memories and talked about Cry Wolf some it was just...very relieving? He feels as though he understands Apple's view on things much better now and he's also pretty sure she understands his view as well. There's still some trepidation in regards to what they're going to do in future bad games, but he has some faith that it would go better.

HE STILL WORRIES ABOUT...WORRYING HER. Especially now they're talking about memories more often again and it's just very clear that their lives were very different and also that his life was kind of radically awful in comparison to her's. (Though that seems to be most character's lives vs....shoujo heroines......) He hasn't been pulling punches on his end though since he feels that she'd appreciate honesty more but...yes.

He's also worried about the fact that he made HIS EVIL GLEE FACE after...killing 10,000 people and that Apple got to see that. I am sorry I am an evil mass murderer that has killed so many innocent people. . . BUT...He appreciates that she uh, understood a bit of what he meant by feeling he saved Asch. And that was a justification he used for himself for a long time but he finally made the connection that "Oh, the reason why people are content with 'saving even just one person' is because a single life has worth." So that's something he'll have to chew on for a bit.

ALSO TWO FOR ONE BECAUSE THE SECOND ONE IS SHORT: Estelle is joining Rook on a quest to help him understand Fell (and also self discovery!) and...I am honestly not sure what the journey entails beyond that. TWO TIMES RELATIONSHIPS ARE CHEATING but okay let's do it:

NOIR STILL LIKES MACARON but lately it feels that...Cardinal has been depowered and defanged (in Noir's eyes) and Teal has gained more leverage over them given their medical supplies. Which isn't something that is personal in regards to Macaron but it is something that adds a bit of tension on his end towards her. There isn't really much change beyond that. Macaron is still intelligent and a bro but. TEAMS AND POLITICS, THEY ARE COMPLICATED.

I AM SORRY I WENT SOFT AND YOU DIED FOR IT JD. Never repeating that mistake every again. Noir would kill infants with his own hands to prevent JD from dying that is. a thing. (that was probably inevitable really.)

But yes. Regardless, he likes JD and they get along pretty well, the whole GETTING HER KILLED thing aside. She has a lot of energy and seems better able to create interteam bonds than the rest of Cardinal so. SHE IS A GOOD PRESENCE FOR THEM. Even if she doesn't seem to understand the importance of vengeance.

SORT OF THE SAME in that just sitting down and talking helped to clear the air a lot. I think it was slightly different for her because it wasn’t really an emotional catharsis as much as it was reaching a point where they could understand each other. Having a fuller understanding of what he went through helped her immensely (and also made her resent people a little o-oops, she’ll get over it) and being able to explain herself and have him understand along with comprehending what he was saying was a big step! COMMUNICATION WORKS. It seemed like he had a lot to get off his chest so she was glad that it helped. And whenever she feels like having her emotional breakdown she will probably go cry on him or Yuki first because she feels like she can communicate with them '-'b.

She is also a little worried about future bad games because while they expressed their viewpoints they didn’t exactly reconcile them in order to find out how to play together whoops. BUT the hope that it will prevent future misunderstandings is there, and she just...trusts him to listen to what she has to say, and trusts him to speak up if he has something he wants to say too. Which is not a solution, just the potential for one, but it’s good enough for her since she can’t promise to hurt people if push comes to shove (at this point in time; whenever meetings happen she will be willing to talk it over).

She appreciates him not pulling punches with his memories because IT’S AWFUL AND IT SUCKS but she also...accepted a LONG TIME AGO that he mass murdered people and that is going to be a terrible thing no matter what. The fact that he had to live with the Score and chose a solution that involved letting a huge amount of people die is going to suck no matter what. The fact that he makes evil glee faces at death is going to be concerning no matter what '-' Him being honest about his life made her feel...hmm, like he’s willing to fully admit what he did and try to make amends for it in his own way. She doesn’t want to lecture him on it; it’s obvious that he’s changed since then and chastising him for something that he did in the past isn’t going to help him move forward. (Which is something she only recognized when she was trying to move forward and was constantly chastised for past actions; it was something she couldn’t fully learn until she experienced it herself, I think.) But she doesn’t want to just sit idly by while he relives those memories either, so she’s glad she gets to ask him to elaborate on them a bit. She doesn’t want to condemn him for his actions, but she wants to make it clear she doesn’t condone what he did either, and it is a tricky thing for her to balance since this is the first time she’s had to...deal with a tales antagonist?! Fsdkfjgh shoujo heroine life :|a If he understands that a single life has worth then she will count it as a success. She's glad that she can be a neutral presence that he feels comfortable talking to about the terrible things he's done \o/

I am having such a hard time thinking of questions UHMMM IN A HYPOTHETICAL WORLD if Selenia did end up going to AnS world and living in Clarines how do you think that would go?

RELATIONSHIP UPDATES...Nothing too huge really. After Mau's sort of birthday part with his friends, Selenia has kind of gotten the sense that Mau is a teenager with teenage friends? A SHOCKING REVELATION TO BE SURE, but it's one that means he's kind of accepted that eventually Mau will move on and that that won't be a terrible thing. Which seems like a bit of a leap when put like that, but it's really just realizing that Mau has his own life and things will be okay when it's time for him to go home, or whenever it's time for Selenia to head out into Greater Aather.

...Which still sounds weird and I'm not sure how else to explain it but REGARDLESS. It means Selenia's making more of an effort to at least make use of the time he has with Mau and make it worth more, just so there'll be no regrets whenever they go their separate ways. (#VanGrantsPositiveSpinOnFatalism)

AND THAT OTHER QUESTION IS HARD but interesting but I'll try and answer them! Daiquri on Emerald is one CR that's been a lot of fun since it started with Daiquri deliberately seeking him out and demanding music lessons. And the rest of their interactions have been pretty high-energy and fun. She's definitely one of his favorite students right now. (Though they're all his favorite tbh but 'ONE OF HIS FAVORITES' IS STILL TECHNICALLY ACCURATE.)

Melody from Tiger's Eye is also new idol-singer related CR but that's been interesting since their introduction was Kitsune's Find the Fox game and he had to convince her not to vote for herself, which he ended up doing by sharing his Cry Wolf experiences. Which is pretty interesting because that is not something that Selenia would ever normally bring up in a first conversation with someone but it seemed especially important to back up his stance by sharing his mistake so someone newer wouldn't repeat it, and she listened and took it to heart! She's also YET ANOTHER CUTE SINGER GIRL, one who listens and takes his experience into account! Which equals another new favorite.

...More interestingly from an OOC perspective, since Selenia's magic requires an environmental source of power to work with, moving to Clarines would mean sacrificing his magic. I am not sure how he would handle it to be honest! Making the choice to give it up would mean he'd be pretty committed to going to Clarines and living there, so he'd probably take it all right...But he's also gotten used to regaining those skills so losing them again could mean he'd get even more frustrated with seemingly mundane tasks because he doesn't have his magic to back him up. IT COULD BE INTERESTING.

And that is an interesting question. How would it go if Apple ended up on Auldrant? :|a (That is probably a harder question if you go with the post-game route but ANY TIME WORKS PROBABLY.)

Hmm well I don’t know so much about Auldrant as a whole since my knowledge is based off of the anime, she would probably have HUGE FITS no matter what. In canon she moves to Clarines of her own free will and is pushed and asked to go elsewhere several times but she always refuses. She WANTS to be in Clarines, with Zen, and that would be her endgame in any scenario; so being in Auldrant would really be a temporary thing until she goes back to Clarines! As such her stay there would mostly involve her researching ways to get OFF of Auldrant and back home.

Whether it was in-game or post-game it would have interesting implications though, because I assume she would be outside of the Score and would refuse to live under the assumption that she was bound to the Score in any way. In-game would mean she ends up sidetracking herself by helping those injured in the various battles, disasters, and attacks that happen, possibly to the point of attempting to stop fights at the source (which would involve getting involved with the Main Party/Van Grants/respective rulers of countries and theocracies and yelling at them). Post-game is presumably less violent so she would be coping with Life Without The Score easier than everyone else, while still focusing on finding a way to get back to Clarines. I think one big thing would be that she would be QUITE INTERESTED IN MAGIC. It would be a possible source for her to get home, and Auldrant magic has a consistency to it that Aather does not, and does not come from a sketchy source. If she could learn how to use magic there she would probably pick it up; she would be particularly interested in healing magic but I don’t think she could learn any magic anyways so PIPE DREAMS.

Anyways, Macaron still really likes Noir and if not for the fact that she has upwards of six million irons in any given fire she would be spending a lot more time being chill with him but recent events have basically given her 0 downtime for anything but flat collapsing. She really wants to have a real long talk with him and know how things are going since their team has had such heavy turnover lately but... she also really doesn't like talking with him much about team stuff (hence why she wanted to bug Lace about a possible nonmurdering agreement and will let Tiramisu handle the trading stuff). LET US DISCUSS GENTLEMANLY THINGS OVER TEA. '^'

JD thinks that Noir is... Well... She doesn't hate him and she doesn't want to make fun of him. Considering that he seems like a fatherly figure this is kind of a big deal! She thinks he's got useful information, and while she currently questions his decision making she also thinks he's the sensible one in the old guard of her big dysfunctional 'family.' (She doesn't think he has much competition but that's another rant) She also appreciates that he goes along with her dumb ideas and seems to have the ability to actually have fun, something she doesn't know if Gin is capable of and that Lace seems to have... issues with sometimes (stemming from them being like oil and water).

She really doesn't understand how the 'vengeance' thing is going to help anything tbh, but hell it's Noir and Lace's guns and they can stick to them if they want to JD WAS HONESTLY EXPECTING HORRIBLE SUFFERING so she doesn't really... get up in arms about it past just bitching about it to anyone and everyone who'll listen. She does sorely wish he'd loosen up some more, tho, the thing with Lace and Noir left her feeling protective of him and kind of pissy at tentaclesis because you don't do that to family even if you hate the hell out of them. (She'd know.)

...So have Noir's feelings on the other teams changed or developed at all? I am particularly interested in his current feels on Teal and Cardinal because selfish but, in general I'm curious about how he views the others. '^'

I do not think there are any substantial relationship updates to talk about! Mau feels more comfortable with Selenia than he ever has before, and really just wants to be as supportive as he can in making Selenia feel more secure and able to be hopeful as time goes on. He really has a lot of faith in him and wants him to be loved and to be able to find a place in the world where he feels like he belongs.

Mau's most... "interesting"... off team dynamic is with Edmund right now, I think, and, uh, well. I suppose I can sum it up by saying that Mau is not attracted sexually to Edmund, but nevertheless, in the last 3-4 IC days he has both kissed him out of nowhere and asked him on a date, so. That's... happening...

They have this peculiar friendship where they have a lot of emotional parallels and end up pinging each other all over the place, so they either end up with extreme and sudden empathetic support or end up getting into weird pseudo-power struggles or just cryptically talking about generalities while both referring heavily to extremely specific things except not clarifying any of them, depending on the day. Which, as you can imagine, means their relationship has a lot of tension! But it's largely undefined and Mau is dealing with it by going "WE SHOULD DATE" for reasons only tangentially related to Edmund himself. Which, at least he's being honest about, but. It's all very experimental and dumb.

AS FOR THE PLAY, it is kind of a fun way for Van to put his acting skills to use (without the above mentioned issue that Manipulating People Is Morally Wrong. Apparently.) The play itself is kind of silly but everyone speaks in iambic pentameter and that is fun.

Also Naoto really really likes acting. He initially resisted going to Mouse because he didn't have the skill back, but once he DID get the skill back he went out of curiosity and immediately got swept up in it. Acting wasn't a huge part of his life back home but he considers it bbbbbasically the only good thing he could carry forward; and it's fun to just be someone else for a little while, to play a role and just have fun with it! He especially liked getting to be an asshole in the play because it's so different from his normal self o//////o

He also likes it because he's good at it and it gets him praise. He. He loves getting praised for doing things it makes him so happy, like dog-with-waggy-tail, so that's an added like +500 bonus to it!!

WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE OBVIOUS they're going pretty good... Naoto has tons and tons of dere for every other member of Turquoise he's just not getting along so well with Bart. :'D I think part of it is that with all their other leaders gone Naoto and Bart are the two strongest personalities on the team so when they clash nobody is really prepared to mediate between them... also part of it is that Bart is unapologetically dating Naoto's boyfriend and Di[e]cecast and POSSESSIVE JEALOUSY... and part of it is that Naoto and Bart have like been totally incapable of understanding each other from the very beginning... IT'S, A MESS, and Naoto is working towards 'total reset' w/r/t Bart purely because they have to live together. If Bart wasn't on his team they would probably never speak again just because (to Naoto!) it seems like they're totally incompatible and maybe it would be easier not to try??

Heaaaaling. As fond as he is of spam-casting Infernal Prison (at least on my game), healing is the magic that is simply...more positive. Selenia was actually talking about it with Mithos in one thread and how he used to believe that destruction was necessary for healing. In some ways it is, but a balance is required. If there's destruction, then there needs to be healing.

...And also, he can still kill with a sword anyway so if killing is ever necessary he won't need his magic. But if injury is a thing, healing will help lots. '-'b

I mostly answered that for Letterblade on her question meme.

BUT ON THE YUKI POINT SPECIFIC, they kind of come to...vague understanding of the fact that neither one actually wanted to hurt the other that much? (I think?) Selenia got to see some things in one of Yuki's dreams that revealed some of how bad the Sapphire issue was for him, which meant he started approaching Yuki differently (and also apologized and genuinely meant it). And then Yuki went into Selenia's heart and...almost single-handled helped him regrow some Sapphire dere and put it in a place where it could grow.

And then Yuki started doing small things that actually gave Selenia dere specifically for Yuki! Like, positively talking about how Aather comes together in Lancelot's game and coming up with the alliance idea that helped them win! And also sharing some music from his homeworld, which may not have been much for Yuki but it meant a lot to Selenia.

So while they're not super close and may never be, there's not a whole lot of hate from Selenia's end anymore and they're...on pretty decent footing at the moment!

HOW IS NAOTO ENJOYING SAPPHIRE'S BASEMENT? (Do any Sapphire other than Yuki and Apple even know he's there akjfshkhd)

Her feelings can be summed up as follows:

Beyond that she really kind of likes Sage and she's got no real issues with Shell or Teal (Chiffon and Mint are her bros man :'D) but lbr here within the games she doesn't have time for mercy if she can help it. She's sort of growing naturally into the 'WELL I'M THE PUPPY SO MAYBE DON'T KICK ME BUT NOTHING THAT HAPPENS IS MY FAULT!!' of Cardinal so that they can have actual relations with others (but more so that maybe she won't die if gang wars happen. Fukkin' Cockroach). In short: Yeah she doesn't really... hate them... but she doesn't like most of them and if given the chance she'd probably fuck them over? And if someone gives her shit for it she will bitch them out and you know she can bitch people out.

...Honestly he'd just go "Oh Turq" and offer Naoto tea because Naoto probably needs lots of tea and coping. He's been Echo's friend for a while so whenever something seems to be up with a Turq he...just assumes they exploded and have to unexplode a little.

...GOSH THAT'S...A LOT. Now I think about it. I'LL TRY AND NARROW IT DOWN TO THE MOST IMPORTANT but on a general note, Selenia seems to get along better and faster with other Personae for some reason that may or may not involve the whole 'having our life stories prewritten' thing. (by which I mean it is definitely that.)

Brill I think is the most obvious one, what with her having been Jabberwock and then successfully being freed from her ~~Score~~ story. Things are sometimes awkward on that front because Selenia considered Jabberwock a sort of (villainous) mentor figure so having that role reversed and being one of the people to help her along a redemption path is...sometimes a bit intimidating. But he is committed to helping her as much as he can, but also try and give her some room to walk her path on her own and make her own friends.

Firebird was the first Personae Selenia really took interest in. Her role is to shatter cages and be free! How amazing is that? ...Unfortunately it is actually quite terrifying to him too, in the sense that he sometimes can't tell how much of her desire to break out of her role is her and how much of it is...her role requiring it. Her trauma game kind of convinced him that it was her and not her role, given the fact that she was apparently trying to push against it as much as she did. But it's still...something that affects how he approaches her.

Nimue is also pretty important! And is actually pretty interesting in that...Selenia rarely actually really thinks about her role when he interacts with her! He just really appreciates her comfort, trusts her and feels he can confide in her about most things. He just genuinely believes she only wants the best for people, even when she's maiming them which is not something he really seems to believe in for most people. (I think I told Sapphire during Nimue and Odile's game he actually worried that using her coin meant she was taking the damage for them. He fully believes that she would take the damage for them in games if it was possible for her to do so; he has that much faith in her.)

Mira is kind of a new one! But it's one that's been on his mind post-parasite for...lots of likely obvious reasons. :') But she asked to meet him in a more one-on-one setting due to his 'unique view on life and death' like...fifteen minutes after he revived and being the man he is, of course he said yes. And then that night, they met, had tea, she asked him if he thought she was beautiful (which, of course, he answered yes) and then she told him she wanted a friend and he...agreed to be that friend. So in less than twenty-four hours he was then friends with the Personae who ran the worst game Aather ever seemed to have. And that is actually intimidating to him in a way that was never was with Jabberwock, because at least he knew Jabberwocks role and understood it enough to feel as though he was safe as long as he didn't cross certain lines. With Mira, he's very unsure on where those lines are so he feels like he's walking on pretty thin ice with her.

There is also Queen Guinevere now I guess! He actually had a pretty low opinion of her after her announcement that the barrier would fall and then giving them the 'choice' to fight, when the choice felt very much like 'fight and risk death' or 'wait to die'. SO HE REALLY DIDN'T LIKE HER FOR A WHILE and then...disliked her more when other people tried to tell him to be more reasonable about her. In short, he was a pretty contrary child on the Queen Guinevere matter! :'D BUT, then they had their fight, it went super well and then she asked for their opinion on what to do next and the options were a lot more...freeing. So he felt better about her then, though she wasn't anywhere near the list of favorites.

BUT THEN...THE ROMANCE GAME. She asked some pretty intimate questions and he was very HRRF in the first two rounds...but then the third round question was phrased in such a way that he was thinking about Iris. "Do you feel comfortable naming them?" was definitely meant as a 'do you mind listing the people you're dating?' thing but he was thinking about naming Iris and then he just...went into spamming the private options with words after that. (Apparently Haru counted and he shared ~1500 words about his Feelings on Romantic Love with Queen Guinevere s-sob). AND NOW HE FEELS SHE IS A GOOD PERSON TO CONFIDE IN AND TRUSTS HER JUDGEMENT? After...not. for a long while. It is actually kind of hilarious. :'D

(There's also Odile, simply because she somehow slid herself into the 'deadly but sometimes cute' category, and Professor Endboss because HE'S VAGUELY FAMILIAR FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON (also that facial hair) and Mother in that she is still one Selenia intensely dislikes but is still...interested in. AND THEN THERE'S CHANCE who he despises because their very role is terrible uncertainty and THAT IS TERRIBLE and yet he still approaches them anyway because he's seems to thrive off of rivalries that exist only in his head.)

...I am really bad at narrowing the list down sob. But Selenia does make a pretty active effort to get to know the Personae, especially the dangerous ones since he feels...sort of an obligation to help them out of their roles since there are very few people he'd think capable of it.

How about Mau and Jill and their Personae CR?

Honestly...HE LIKES BLUE. His one canon civilian uniform has a blue shirt, I have substantial evidence to prove it, AS YOU CAN SEE IN EXHIBIT A. So it probably would be...a less bright blue really. Blue is good, let us keep blue.

Other than that...He would probably be most comfortable in white and/or beige. They are also colors that look good on him, and that's important!

Noir probably sat down, poured a tiny bit from each bottle and made himself a cocktail from hell once. And then immediately regretted it. BUT HE PROBABLY TRIED THAT.

Beyond that, he likes to spend his time either just watching everything from a high part of levels 3 or 4, or just foraging in levels 1 and 2. Depending on his mood, he either keeps out of the way of other teams, or just sits himself somewhere and makes them avoid him. (It's usually always the latter, but if he isn't up for a potential fight he'll just keep to areas he feels are less commonly frequented.)

Current Spitfire would probably find amnesia Spitfire very naive and sweet and want to protect him from things. He'd... also feel kind of bad about it and have a lot of mixed feelings about potentially telling him things. There would be hair fluffs and possibly cuddles at some point because that's how he rolls.

Amnesia Spitfire would just be kind of o_o about calm confident relaxed current Spitfire. There would definitely be a tendency to puppy at him... also a little bit of shell shock over "oh... i really can be a person people would want to follow"...

It depends on her mood, honestly. She is kind of picky with what games she enjoys and when. Even if there’s a really fun game she'd normally enjoy if it comes at the wrong time she'll approach it COMPLETELY DIFFERENTLY than she normally would. Happy fun derp games right after trauma games can sometimes be a nice way to bring everyone's spirits up, OR they can feel like a huge slap in the face, depending on who is running it and how it's carried out. There does tend to be a theme to the ones she likes more, though!

She likes the games where they interact with other teams and mingle, so anything that isn't a locked room game endears itself more to her. Most games are locked room games, so there's always a little bit of tension behind those ones because she hates being locked up. She enjoys games where they can come up with a creative solution as opposed to games that just have them picking from options, as she tends to question their options and try to pick something that isn't there, or just refuses to pick. As such she also tends to like creativity games! Those are the ones that stick out in her mind as ones that were enjoyable; the sandcastle game, the Sugar Racer car, the Sapphire dinner setting, Peter Pan's adventure game, Lancelot's castle game, etc. She is also pretty okay with most story games, but she is ICly not the greatest at coming up with stories and I am OOCly not the best at writing things within a short time limit so they end up being a little more difficult /o\
